Waiting for part before I start the big race re build.

Sharing 2 new items: First the 2 shims you need to be able to completely remove the side stand, and then the new more race ready front brake pads from Performance Friction. Same compound (#13) as I used on my old 1098. To my shock of the 8 mm thick pad only 3 mm is friction material and the rest (5 mm) is all metal. Not many track miles there. Decided to order SBS Dc and see if they have a thicker pad.

Hopefully I get more stuff to be able to start....

First track test

First track test at the Filip Backlund event, GellerĂ¥sen. Street tires, breaking in engine (only revving to 9 000). Amazing confidence in the corners! Just 1.5 seconds from personal best. So easy to turn and the bike is so great while leaned over. Can’t wait to ride with slicks and using the full power. You need to rev the bike, it was frustrating to change gears when the engine started to pull hard. When trying to open the throttle a bit earlier and more, the rear started to slide, but otherwise great OEM tires on this bike

Slip on´s and mapping

The rules allows for Termignoni slip ons and a more free flowing air filter. Then you get access to the already installed better mapping. Should give (according to dyno run´s I´ve seen) 4-5 more horse power, smother response and better midrange..

I got the MWR filter, instead of the Ducati free flowing one. Incredible to be able to run in 6th gear at 2 000 RPM riding smooth and also having a 11 000 read line.

Always riding with DB-killers in and the bike is quite quiet.

Small safety additions

To comply with regulation and save money when crashing:

Safety wires on front brakes. Street compound on brake pads not brilliant, will later be replaced with Performance Friction

GB Racing engine protection and safety wired oil filler cap  is a must
Radiator protection could be handy when hitting the kitty litter :-)

Suspension

Rear chock is apparently not that great so the first thing I changed was to replace the stock unit with a K Tech unit from FJJ Racing. With personal set up for me, of course
